The HALFEN Body anchors are 3D adjustable brackets for wall panels
made of natural stone or concrete, which are fixed to the
load-bearing structure using HALFEN channels or approved HALFEN
bolts. The key benefits of Body anchors are that they are suitable
for a stand-off distance of 30-270 mm with a load capacity up to
1300 N in the standard version. These can be used in horizontal and
vertical joints and, above all, their immediate load-bearing
capacity, which means work can be progressed quickly. The
monitoring and certification authority of the LGA (Bavarian state
trade institute) Nuremberg awarded the quality certificate "LGA
tested Quality" to HALFEN Body anchors. The quality certificate is
the first independent seal of quality for the production and design
of such cladding systems.
Depending on the model, the HALFEN Body anchor carries both
vertical loads from the panel weight and horizontal loads, for
example, from the wind. Depending on the building situation, you
can choose from four different models of HALFEN Body anchor.
HALFEN HRM/HRC Body anchors
HALFEN HRM/HRC Body anchors (structural anchors) are preferably
used for loads up to 500 N and a stand-off distance of 40-130 mm.
The wall panel can be aligned to the façade after it has been
installed on to the body anchor.
HALFEN HRM/HRC Body anchors are made of a 3D base bracket, a
compressed rivet nut, a spade bolt with locking nut and a serrated
washer. The difference between the types HRM/ HRC is how they are
supplied: The HRM is supplied to the customer fully pre-assembled.
The spade bolt is screwed into the base bracket and permanently
secured so it is impossible to remove the spade bolt from the
bracket. The HRC is supplied in its individual parts for on-site
All anchors are serrated and have an 11×26mm slot for vertical
adjustment. Alternatively they can be supplied as the HRM-P/HRC-P
variants that are not serrated and have a 9 × 23mm slot. A
particular advantage of the anchor is that the stand-off distance
of previously installed panels can be adjusted by the rivet nut
using a standard spanner.
HALFEN BA Body anchors
HALFEN BA Body anchors are designed for small stand-off distances
from 60 to 120mm with a maximum load of 1300N. The anchors consist
of a sturdy base element, a serrated plate and a spade bolt. The BA
Body anchor is fixed according to the installation instructions,
either in the horizontal or vertical panel joint, to load-bearing
substrate to HALFEN Cast-in channels or using HALFEN Anchor bolt
systems. The bracket has a vertical 8.5 × 28mm slot and a serrated
plate for easy height-adjustment. As with all body anchors the
distance to the load-bearing substrate is adjusted by turning the
spade bolt. The anchor bracket can of course be adjusted laterally
by swivelling around the fixing bolt.
HALFEN DT Body anchors
HALFEN DT Body anchors (structural anchors) are suitable for
stand-off distances of 140 to 300mm and loads of up to 1300N.
pre-assembled anchors consist of the main bracket, the
wedge plate and a spade bolt. Vertical bracket adjustment is
using the sliding wedge plate. The stand-off distance to the
supporting substrate can be adjusted using the spade bolt. The
anchor DT can also be pivoted around the fixing bolt for
adjustment. The spade bolt is pre-assembled to use in the
panel, but is easily adjusted for use in the vertical joints
rotating the spade bolt. The clamping bolt must be tightened with
spanner following the installation of the natural stone panel to
torque of 5 Nm.
HALFEN DH Body restraint anchors
HALFEN DH Body restraint anchors are adjustable in three
dimensions. They are designed to carry only horizontal tension
compression loads. DH Body anchors are used in combination
HALFEN HRM/HRC, BA and DT Body anchors. The restraint anchor
used mainly in vertical joints, for edges and corners
parapet slabs. They are designed for stand-off installations of
to 320 mm with a maximum horizontal load of 1300N. Stand-off
