HIT 6.31: New software version Date: 05.08.2010
The new HIT software HIT 6.31 is available for download.

The following innovations are implemented:
  • An input of a sway structure is not possible anymore.
  • The loading capacity of the elements HIT-BQ-12/3 has been corrected.
  • The possibility to display the loading capacity tables has been removed from the software. As a result the installation package becomes explicitly smaller.

New development of the HBx Software Date: 30.07.2010
With the HBx application, version 1.00 we introduce a completely new developed software. With this current version you can design precast connections which are reinforced with the HALFEN HLB Loop Box. It is planned to amplify the functionality for additional products.

The software, which actually is available in German and English, provides the following basis of design:
  • DIN 1045-1 basis for building authority approval
  • EC2

HBx 1.0 is available for download in www.halfen.de. You can also chose a 3-day test version.
HALFEN at EXPO Shanghai Date: 26.05.2010
At the World exhibition in Shanghai from 01.05. to 31.10.2010 Hamburg presents itself next to three other German cities in the German pavilion – and HALFEN will be present.

Suitable to the EXPO theme “Better City – Better Life” the city of Hamburg erects a building on highest environmental technology. The ‘Hamburg House’ concept develops principles and technology of low energy buildings under consideration of the climate in Shanghai.

HALFEN brickwork support systems have been delivered and inserted into Hamburg House. In close collaboration with the colleagues from HALFEN´s Chinese subsidiary the HALFEN ICT-team provided design work for brickwork support including static calculation, coordination of involved project responsibilities and adjustment with pre-casting works. Because of its international structure HALFEN was able to support the Chinese project management and the main contractor as well as the German architect.
