Allerhuset
Copenhagen, Denmark

The Allerhuset office building is home to one of the largest publishing houses in Denmark. Between 2006 and 2009, the PLH Architects created an eight-story contemporary headquarters made of glass, steel and aluminium in the Copenhagen harbour.
The triangular shape of the building was inspired by the shape of the outer pier. The pointed front facade of the building extends over eight floors; the shorter sides of the triangular construction are only five stories high.
The exterior facade is an expanse of glass with horizontal and vertical elements made from Norwegian granite. The facade elements with stone pilaster strips are an important design feature in this project. These strips are attached to the pre-cast superstructure of the building using HALFEN natural stone anchors.
The very unique form of the natural facade required a specially developed solution from HALFEN and a specially designed anchoring system.
