Vorarlberg Museum

Since 1857 the Vorarlberg Museum VLM in Bregenz, Austria has been the state art and cultural history museum for the Federal State of Vorarlberg. The museum was re-opened after 3 years of re-building, involving new builds and modernisation, in June 2013 with double the previous exhibition space.
The architectural requirement set by the “Bregenzer Architectural practise Cukrowicz Nachbaur Architekten” to keep the size of the joints to a minimum was solved by using façade anchors specially designed for this project.
Facts that speak for themselves:
• 1.990m2 concrete façade with 17cm thick cast on-site decorative fair-faced concrete – with a flower design.
• façade surface areas up to 600m2
• only 14 Joints in total,
• one support row for each field
