Lotte World Tower
Seoul, Korea

The Lotte World Tower, located in the middle of Seoul's Jamsil district, was completed in 2016 and officially opened in 2017. The skyscraper is named after the Lotte Group. With a total height of 555 meters, it is not only the tallest building in Korea, but also currently the fifth-tallest building in the world.
According to the involved American architect firm, Kohn Pedersen Fox, the visual design of the gently tapered tower, with its uninterrupted curvature, was inspired by elements of traditional Korean ceramics, porcelain and calligraphy.
The usable area of the tower is more than 300,000 m², spread over 129 floors. In the building there are shops, office space and hotel rooms, a cinema and apartments.
HALFEN supplied HBT Rebend connections. The HALFEN HBT reinforcement continuity system is widely known in Korea as HALFEN box.
