Terrace East Condominiums
Saskatchewan, Canada

Terrace East Condominiums is a 6-story luxury apartment building in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. The project was finished in 2011 and is located in downtown Moose Jaw, across from Crescent Park. Due to the special shape of the building there are 8 corner balconies on each floor.
The apartment building has 40 balconies of 17'-5" by 18'-3" (5.30 m by 5.55 m) and 17'-5" by 10'-2" (5.30 m by 3.10 m) in the corners. All balconies have HIT units on two adjacent sides and a column in the opposite corner. Because of the extreme temperature difference between summer and winter, the developer choose to use the HIT system to minimize maintenance costs caused by the thermal cracking in the balconies. Special HIT units had to be developed to overcome the height offset between the main slab and the balcony slab.
