DETAN Rod Systems are used for structural bracing (tension and compression) where an architectural or aesthetic quality is desired. Available in high strength carbon and stainless steels, DETAN has a vast range of rod diameters and lengths, making it suitable for limitless applications.

DETAN Pretension Unit
Some applications for DETAN require a pretension load to be
applied. Typically, it is difficult to accurately apply a
pretension load to large diameter rods using a standard wrench
without damaging the system. Hydraulic jacks are often used to
apply pretension loads.
The DETAN Pretension Unit is a specifically engineered jacking system to be used with DETAN rod diameters between M30 and M60. The system allows pretensioning without causing damage to rod finishes often associated with traditional jacking systems.

Corrosion Protection
DETAN Rod Systems offer superior corrosion resistance by providing
high quality finishes and seals, including in such sensitive areas
as the threads. The spanner notches are milled before the rods are
hot dip galvanized to eliminate possible damage to the finishing.
The forks and the locking nuts are hot dip galvanized to provide
long term protection against corrosion, as well as providing
excellent mechanical resistance.
