HALFEN is shortlisted as “A leader in German Innovation”
HALFEN’s persuasive success: The acclaimed German newspaper FAZ
(Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung) shortlists the company as one of
Germany's leaders of innovation. The study took all patents applied
for by German companies in the last ten years into account. Out of
33,000 companies, 3,500 ultimately ended up on the shortlist.
The study was carried out on behalf of the FAZ by the Prognos AG research company, in cooperation with the IMWF (Institute for Management and economic research). Data from the European Patent Office (EPO) Worldwide Patent Statistical Database (PATSTAT) served as the basis for the analysis. This database contains information on more than 100 million patents from leading industrialized and developing countries. Patent families were evaluated from over 500 technology and fields of knowledge.
Questions asked included, to what extent did a particular patent affect other inventions, the extent to which the new invention differs from previous patents, and whether German researchers were involved in the new inventions. HALFEN's patents met the criteria in all areas while showing great potential in the field of technical progress.

DETAN: New ETA and higher steel strength

The new steel grades have a higher tensile strength of up to 720 N/mm2 with the same cross section of the tension rod.
This means up to 15 % higher load capacity. In some cases the rod cross-sections can be decreased; this results in a tension rod structure that appears even more filigree.
