The newly developed Quartier Central district brings a sense of French flair to the heart of Düsseldorf. Serving as a distinctive architectural landmark, the 25hours Hotel Das Tour forms the southern gateway to the quarter with its striking design. Securely fastened balconies—uniquely fitted with French-style bathtubs—offer hotel guests panoramic views across the city.

The balconies were installed using the Halfen HIT‑MVX Thermal Insulation Elements supplied by Leviat. These advanced connection solutions enable complex and unconventional geometries, such as those featured at the 25hours Hotel Das Tour, while reliably transferring high shear forces and bending moments. The HIT‑MVX elements are suitable for use with precast slabs in corner areas and do not require additional recesses on the slab soffit. The HIT thermal insulation elements consist of conventional tension bars combined with innovative red CSB compression bearings made from fiber‑reinforced high‑performance mortar. These bearings replace conventional compression struts on the underside of the elements as well as shear force reinforcement, ensuring fast, safe, and efficient installation. On-site reinforcement continuity is achieved through the single‑layer arrangement of the HIT bars. In accordance with DIN 4108‑2 and EnEV, Halfen HIT‑MVX Iso‑Elements effectively reduce thermal bridges and minimize energy losses.

The hotel was constructed using a slender structural design with flat slabs. Within the slab grid, four large columns are incorporated, with punching shear resistance ensured by Halfen HDB Shear Rails supplied by Leviat.
