Shakespeare Theatre
The Danzig Shakespeare Theatre is built on the previous site of a fencing school, which is known to date back to 1610; theatre and Opera productions were also known to have been staged at the school. The design of the building is based on elements of the Shakespeare Globe Theater in London. The new building was designed by the Venetian architect Renato Rizzi.
The theatre has an anthracite coloured brick façade, a retractable, swivel roof as well as a variable stage design to allow adaptation to the individual performances.
Leviat supplied HALFEN Support brackets as well as cavity wall brick-ties for the brickwork façade.
