Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex
In spring 2010 the Shell Eastern Petrochemicals Complex (or SEPC) investment project in Singapore was completed. The project includes, amongst other things, a new Ethylene Cracker Complex (ECC) for which Leviat supplied during the construction period HALFEN Cast-in channels and different lifting anchor systems to the main EPC contractors involved. While the use of the supplied lifting anchors contributed significantly to a safe installation process of the precast columns and beams, the HALFEN Cast-in channels are providing fixing support for high-load pipework. HALFEN Channels do allow changes to the pipework positioning to suit changes to process modifications, without the need to alter the supporting structure. Drilling or welding on site can be completely avoided.
Leviat engineers provided detailed lifting anchor and cast-in channel design services as well as support on site, where safety conditions and work method requirements were strictly monitored.
Leviat is proud to have supplied products as well as engineering services to a project with such demanding performance requirements and aggressive service conditions.
