Cavity wall ties
Cavity wall ties are used to transfer horizontal loads - usually wind loads – to the brickwork. They continuously connect the masonry façade continuously with the main structure. They are therefore essential for the stability of the masonry façade and together with the masonry support, act as a load-bearing system. Depending on the requirements of the structure, other loads such as seismic loads can be considered. The lengths of the anchors depend on the required distance to the rear structure. All Leviat Cavity wall ties are approved by the building authorities.
