Prinses Elisabeth children’s hospital
The new Prinses Elisabeth children’s hospital at the University of Gent with a size of approx. 15,000 square metres had been under reconstruction since 2009 and was reopened on the 7th September 2011 by Princess Elisabeth (together with her parents Prince Filip und Princess Mathilde). Patients between the ages of 0 to 15 years are admitted and cared for; parents now also have the option to stay overnight if circumstances require. Apart from medical facilities the Prinses Elisabeth children’s hospital also offers child-friendly activities; afternoon creativity groups are offered and there is also a recreational playroom.
HALFEN FPA Façade panel anchors were supplied for the reconstruction of the children’s hospital.
