The U Arena stadium

The new U Arena was inaugurated on October 19th 2017. Depending on the configuration the stadium is able to host sport events, but also various types of shows and concerts. The first event was a performance by the Rolling Stones.

Leviat, a partner in this construction project, supplied HALFEN FPA Panel anchors and HALFEN BRA Parapet corbels for connecting more than 700 prefabricated concrete elements. These elements are located in the upper part of the stadium and form the crown of the building.

Leviat also designed lifting devices especially for this project which allowed both lifting and subsequent fixing of the spectator stands. The U Arena can accommodate up to 40,000 people.
