Water-storage facility, Villejuif

R7 is a newly built water-storage facility in Villejuif, France, Built in 2012-2015, R7 provides 1.9 Mio people in the south of Paris with drinking water. With a price- tag of 42 Mio Euros this is one of the largest investments by the SEDIF (Syndicat des eaux d’Ile-de-France) French public water supply company.

The exterior 47 concrete walls with a thickness of 7cm are individually designed with micro glass pearls in 27 colours. The technical design of these walls prevents solar-heat-shock.
