Lotte World Tower

The Lotte World Tower, located in the middle of Seoul's Jamsil district, was completed in 2016 and officially opened in 2017. The skyscraper is named after the Lotte Group. With a total height of 555 meters, it is not only the tallest building in Korea, but also currently the fifth-tallest building in the world.

According to the American architect firm involved, Kohn Pedersen Fox, the visual design of the gently tapered, uninterrupted curvature of the tower was inspired by elements of traditional Korean ceramics, porcelain and calligraphy.

The usable area of the tower is more than 300,000m2 and is spread over 129 floors. The building contains shops, office space, hotel rooms, a cinema and apartments.
