Vulkanen 8 is an exciting infill project in the centre of Eskilstuna, Sweden. This residential building consists of two separate, metal cladded buildings with red balconies, which are connected by footbridges. The balconies and footbridges are all individually shaped and placed on different levels, creating a lively building.
HALFEN HIT Insulated connections were used to connect the balconies and footbridges. Specially adapted solutions were developed for the different balconies designs, which included rectangular balconies, corner balconies and balconies with more uneven geometry. There are also a number of footbridges with individual geometries. This was a project requiring various technical solutions and also many different types of HALFEN products.
